Tap Your Performance Potential

Learn how to manage your stress response, work through blocks and transform your performance with a simple yet powerful technique.

A sports tournament, a stand-up comedy gig, a stage play. A sales call or powerpoint presentation.

Different environments requiring different skills, but with one thing in common:

an audience.

Whether you’re an actor, an athlete or you’re delivering a talk at work, stress or nerves before or during any kind of performance is natural. In fact, a certain amount is crucial - to keep us focused, to allow us to read the room and be aware of how our audience / our opponent is responding so we can adapt our approach accordingly.

On the other hand, when we perceive that the stress we’re experiencing is too much to deal with, it might not just affect our performance but our overall health.

In this practical workshop, I’ll teach you how to use a simple but highly effective tool that can help calm the body and mind whilst transforming performance.

So what is that tool?

Tapping

‘Tapping’, also known as EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a simple yet powerful practice that has seen a surge in popularity in recent years. It has been shown to help with a wide range of issues, from anxiety to phobias, to clearing emotional blocks, to processing limiting beliefs that hold us back from living our lives as fully as we’d like.

How does EFT work?

EFT combines tapping on acupressure points to calm the body whilst (sometimes, not always) verbalising thoughts and feelings about specific issues or problems.

Whilst tapping on acupressure points sends a signal to the amygdala - the “smoke alarm” of our brains - to calm down, saying words linked to the issue in hand as we tap can “tune us in” to the specifics of that issue. This can help us make the connections needed to unpick blocks, and at the same time improve several physiological markers of health.

What’s great about EFT is that it’s gentle and very easy to learn - anyone can use it for self-care. Its effects can often be very fast.
